Review
After reading the cover of the book, I began the book, reading carefully and recording details in the back of my mind. I wanted to outsmart the authors, anticipate the twists and turns, and immerse myself in the storyline. There were a few clues along the way, and I can say that I had my suspicions, but when the first major twist in the story came along I was completely dumbfounded.
At first I thought it was maybe an error, They didn’t mean to write that person’s name did they? When I realized that was probably not the case, I began questioning my comprehension, Had I just been misreading the book this entire time? I continued to move forward slowly, realizing that what had confused me earlier was actually a major twist in the story. When I realized this, I wanted to laugh out loud. I appreciate clever authors and they got me good.
The story unfolded and more twists in the story came that had me changing my opinions and judgement about all of the characters. The Wife Between Us was written in a calculated and careful manner leaving out details only to later reveal them with a bang. This is a common practice in many thrillers and it’s one of the major reasons why I love them so much. Books like The Wife Between Us have a way of keeping you hooked to every single page from beginning to end. They keep you guessing (wrongly) and they make you learn pretty quickly never to trust any character completely.
This book is one that you won’t be able to put down, you won’t be able to guess the twist(s), and you won’t be able to stop talking about it.

Favorite Chapter Number 18. You’ll see why when you get there!
Two authors? How does it work having two authors writing one book? This has always been confusing to me. Does one do the planning and the other writes? Does one write and the other edit? Do they switch off writing chapters? I have never understood this, but to the credit of Hendricks and Pekkanen, they have written a cohesive book and if it weren’t for the cover, I would have never known there were two authors instead of one.
